What material are our cabinets made out of?

We use Thermally fused laminate (TFL), medium fiberboard (MDF), and High pressure laminate (HPL).

Thermally Fused laminate (TFL)

  • Onto northern hardwoods and resin. No glue, meaning no peeling.

Medium Fiberboard (MDF)

  • The majority of door and drawer fronts in kitchen, bath and home storage solutions are made with an MDF core. The Medium Density Fiberboard that ORG Home uses, that has a thermofused color matched laminate backer for a consistent finish. The Stow Company used CNC machines (computer numerical control) to precisely route or mill the sheet faces to have various decorative profile styles produced.

High Pressure Laminate (HPL)

  • Similar manufacturing  process to TFL except with additional Kraft paper layers and a Wear layer. HPL is more durable than TFL due to the additional layers but is also more expensive as a result. This is why it is used as an accent piece for Work Surfaces. Better for surfaces with a great chance of wear and tear such as in the Garage or other utility applications.
